You will have to be aware of something when you see the card appear in a reading. A sudden ending is on the horizon, and it will likely come without warning or expectation - although we must remember that all endings are not necessarily harmful. The ending will likely be quick and signal a clear break - and what occurs could also lead to lasting effects. On a more symbolic level, the scythe represents the harvest - a time when we are reaping the rewards (or punishments) of our past actions. It can mean a moment of taking stock of what we have accomplished, of self-judgment and evaluation. We must look back to understand what we can do better to move forward and learn from what has been completed. Therefore, the Sickle could also signal a closure in this regard.
